A Little Bit About Me…
Hello love! Welcome to my blog where I’ll be sharing many things that are super close to my heart. Let’s start off on the right foot and get to know each other! I’m Sarah, a 21-year-old Canadian girl who loves autumn, Harry Potter and the colour purple. I love all things romance and country music is my jam. My passions include reading, writing, dancing, helping others and spending time with the people that I love. I’m obsessed with empowering others to find their worth and live a life full of self-love! I’m currently studying social work in school and hope to make the world a happier place, one person at a time!
I started my blogging journey in the summer of 2018 and have loved every minute of it. I’m pretty much an open book and I love sharing things with others, so I guess you could say that blogging is a natural therapy for me. If you haven’t seen already, some of my categories include positivity, self-love, relationships, and inspiration. These are just some of the topics that I absolutely love talking about. I strongly believe in the power of talking and sharing, so this is my safe place to express any feelings I have and it can be for you too!! I created my blog to spread positivity, to be a place of acceptance, to inspire people, and to remind everyone that they are worthy, important and loved. I sincerely hope you can find what you’re seeking here in this palace of positivity.
As a young girl, I had a challenging time being okay with who I was. I experienced self-doubt and a lack of inner strength. I grew up wanting to blend in. I never wanted to stand out because I was afraid of what people would think or say. I was terrified of judgment. Well let me tell you this, it doesn’t matter what people think or say about you!! As long as you are happy with who you are, that is literally all that matters. The only approval you should be looking for is your own. It took a long time for me to realize this but it has been the greatest lesson I have ever learned. I can confidently say that I love myself. I love who I’ve become, what I look like, and what I bring to other people’s lives. Don’t let me fool you, it took years for me to get to this point, but it was worth all the time, tears and tough love. If you aren’t there yet, I’m telling you not to worry because you will get there! You will get over whatever bump in the road you’re stuck at now. You are amazing!!
Part of experiencing all that personal negativity and insecurity was that I didn’t know how to be my own person. I didn’t know what I stood for or what defined me. But over time, I’ve become proud of who I am. I can confidently say that I have many beliefs that make me the person I am today.
I believe that beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity. I believe in equality. I believe that your faith can get you through anything. I believe that having good friends and a great family is the foundation of life. I believe that chocolate can help any situation. I believe that putting yourself first is not selfish. I believe the world is nothing without love. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe in good karma. I believe that you can achieve anything if you set your heart and mind to it.
